NWC Registration Our wrestling season begins with practices in early November & concludes with the regional & state tournaments in late February/early March. See below for more information.   To register:  Obtain a regular AAU Membership (approx. $14) for your wrestlers. Visit the AAU website to purchase.  Obtain a USA Wrestling Limited Folkstyle Membership (approx. $20) for your wrestlers. Visit USA Wrestling Website to purchase. Log in to your account on the NWC homepage OR if you don’t have an account, follow the instructions on the NWC homepage to create an account including verification of your email address. Go to My Account -> My Information/Sign-Ups. Update your “Parent/Guardian & Wrestler Information.” Wrestler registration forms WILL NOT APPEAR until this step is completed. Also, on the My Account -> My Information/Sign-Ups page, complete the online Wrestler Registration form for each of your wrestlers. NOTE: A wrestler registration form will appear for each wrestler AFTER you are logged in AND you have completed/updated the "Parent/Guardian & Wrestler Information" link.

2026-2027 Season

 

NEW TO WRESTLING?

 

Fun and Fundamentals:

 

An introduction to wrestling concepts, body awareness and rules of the game.  These practices will combine wrestling fundamentals with fun activities and games for kids NEW to wrestling.  

 

Who’s it for?

Any child currently enrolled in grades k - 5 who is new to wrestling

 

When?

This 4 week program starts on November 3rd and runs until November 24th.  Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:45 PM. 

 

What happens after?

If your child is a kindergartener or a first grader, we encourage them to return again next year.  

 

If your child is in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade and they enjoyed the Fun and Fundamentals program, they may continue on for the rest of the season. The money that you paid for this first month, will be subtracted from the cost of the total season.  

 

Cost:  $100

RETURNING 2ND - 5TH GRADE WRESTLERS 

All returning wrestlers in 2nd - 5th grades, will practice together for the month of November.  

 

Beginning in December the team will split into two teams — Black and Blue.  You are welcome to choose whichever you prefer at registration. Should a wrestler choose Black/Blue team but the coaches feel the opposite is better, you will be contacted to discuss. 

 

Black Team will participate primarily in Middle TN in Beginner and Developmental Tournaments

 

The Blue Team will compete in Open Tournaments.  Travel will be required to Gatlinburg, Memphis, & Chattanooga.  In order to be considered for the Blue team, you must be willing to commit to competing at a majority of following weekends (this list may be reduced due to tournament and/or coaching availability):

Club season begins after Mill Creek/Sunset season ends and the week of 11/30/2026

 

MS practice will be divided into a Black Team and Blue Team (please see info above about commitment requirements to be considered for the Blue Team). Should a wrestler choose Black/Blue team but the coaches feel the opposite is better, you will be contacted to discuss.
